Over the summer I made Patriotic Edible Cookie Dough and it went viral. I totally understand why, not to toot my own horn, but who doesn’t like edible cookie dough?!
So I decided to make a Halloween one too. Who knows, I may even make one for Christmas. Stay tuned.
One of my favorite color combos is purple, green and purple and they scream cutesy Halloween to me, so these Monster Mash Sprinkles from Sweets and Treats are perfect for this edible cookie dough.
Just so happens that these Wilton candy eyeballs are perfect for it too!
My son’s favorite holiday is Halloween so he helped me with this week’s recipe titles. He loves desserts to this was right up his alley!

I’m not into creepy, gory things so this Monster Mash cookie dough is perfectly cute and suitable for Halloween.
INGREDIENTS YOU’LL NEED FOR HALLOWEEN EDIBLE COOKIE DOUGH:
What is edible cookie dough made of? You will need the following items to make this edible cookie dough
- Flour
- Butter
- Brown sugar
- White sugar
- Adams Vanilla Extract
- Salt
- Chocolate chips
- Sweets and Treats Monster Mash Sprinkles
- Wilton candy eyeballs
- M&M’S Ghoul’s Mix (orange, green and purple
WHAT IS EDIBLE COOKIE DOUGH?
Edible cookie dough is exactly what is sounds like. Edible cookie dough does not contain eggs or any baking elements such as baking powder or baking soda. Therefore, you cannot bake edible cookie dough.
IS EDIBLE COOKIE DOUGH SAFE TO EAT?
Edible cookie dough does not contain eggs as we know there is risk in eating raw eggs. Some say there can be bacteria in the raw flour that would be harmful to eat it raw. To combat this, I first went ahead and baked the flour for 5 minutes at 350 degrees.
HOW TO MAKE MONSTER MASH EDIBLE COOKIE DOUGH
First, bake the flour for 5 minutes at 350 degrees.
Then add butter, brown sugar and white sugar into the bowl of your stand mixer or a large mixing bowl.
Beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla, followed by salt and flour.
Next, add in M&M’S Ghoul’s Mi, Sweets and Treats Monster Mash Sprinkles and Wilton candy eyeballs.
Followed by some chocolate chips and then sprinkles. Mix to combine.
This Monster Mash Halloween Edible Cookie dough does not contain milk and quite frankly, it doesn’t need any. It’s creamy, packed full of delicious cookie dough flavor and tons of chocolate.
HOW TO STORE EDIBLE COOKIE DOUGH?
You should store edible cookie dough in the refrigerator.
Edible cookie dough will last 5 days in the refrigerator.
You can also freeze edible cookie dough. Frozen edible cookie dough will last up to one month in the freezer.
WHAT CAN I USE IN PLACE OF ALL PURPOSE FLOUR FOR EDIBLE COOKIE DOUGH?
You can use almond flour, whole wheat flour or oat flour.
TIPS FOR MAKING EDIBLE COOKIE DOUGH
I suggest folding in the M&M’S Milk Chocolate Candies, chocolate chips, candy eyeballs and sprinkles. I didn’t want the sprinkles to bleed their colors of the M&M’S® pieces to break up too much.
Monster Mash Halloween Edible Cookie Dough
Ingredients
- 2 cup Flour
- 1 cup Butter, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup Brown sugar
- 3/4 cup White sugar
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup M&M'S Ghoul's mix (purple, orange and green)
- 1/2 cup Chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons Sweets and Treats Monster Mash Sprinkles
- 2 tablespoons Wilton candy eyeballs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Place flour onto a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes.
- Into the bowl of your stand mixer or a large mixing bowl add butter, brown sugar and white sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla, followed by salt and flour.
- Fold in add in M&M'S Chocolate Candies, chocolate chips, sprinkles and candy eyeballs.
