A hybrid between a mojito and a classic martini, this Triple Berry Mojitini is patriotism in a glass. Muddled mint, sugar and berries combine with limeade and Smirnoff Red White and Berry to bring you this refreshing cocktail perfect for all your outdoor parties!
AND it’s September. Just like that. And just like that I had my first PSL of the season. Much to my dismay I was told there was going to be a sugar-free pumpkin spice this year at a coffee shop that shall not be named, ahem DD, I’m looking at you. ? Mine doesn’t carry it. At least the 1 out of 2 that we have in this town. I’ll have to call the other store just so I can compare the two. So I splurged on the small 25g sugar PSL and enjoyed every last sip. It was September 1st after all! Did y’all get yours yet?
BUT just because I drank my first pumpkin spice of the season, does NOT mean I am done with summertime just yet. It is not officially fall until September 22nd and I’m going to bask in all things summertime until then. Starting with this Triple Berry Mojitini I plan to serve at our Labor day party get together. The husband is going to smoke some meat, I’m going to serve up some delicious side dishes and drink my way through numerous triple berry mojitini until the vodka runs out. They’re good, people!
Let’s travel back again to where I wondered whether or not I should call my Mexican Street Corn Chowder a soup or a chowder. I have an issue with decisions, but ultimately, for this “soup” I called it a chowder because it’s thick. Moving forward, I wondered what to call this Triple Berry Mojitini. You might be wondering what a Mojitini is. Well thanks to Better Homes and Gardens, it’s a mix between a mojito and a martini and a pretty damn good name is you ask me.
There was mint in my fridge as well as a stock of berries I had just picked up from the grocery store. Mint pairs great with berries so there was my starting point in creating a weekend cocktail. I had a bottle of limeade in my fridge and club soda in the bar. I also had a bottle of Smirnoff Red White & Berry vodka. Since I’m not a huge fan of rum, I decided just to use the vodka. But it wouldn’t be a classic mojito without the rum, so the next best thing would be to mix the mojito components with a vodka martini and call it a mojitini. So, thanks BHG, for the hybrid name!
Earlier this summer we discovered Smirnoff Red White and Berry. It’s a delicious combination of cherry, blue raspberry and citrus flavors. We drank it on the Fourth of July, as it’s festive, and everyone raved about it. We mix it with water. Sounds weird, right? It’s not. It’s like rehydrating, saving calories and refreshing all in 1 glass.
So I thought for the upcoming Labor Day Weekend, I would share a cocktail with you to celebrate the Red White and Blue and also say goodbye to summer and all those yummy fresh berries.
This Triple Berry Mojitini starts out like a mojito. You muddle mint leaves with sugar (I used stevia and it worked out SO well). Then I added in some raspberries, blackberries and cherries and muddled them up into a liquid. I then added in the Smirnoff Red White and Berry, some crushed ice and limeade. To give it a little effervescence I topped it off with club soda and a garnish of berries and a lime wedge.
All I have to say is I truly hope the Smirnoff Red White and Berry isn’t a limited edition thing and they decide to keep it around ALL THE TIME. This Triple Berry Mojitini is absolutely fabulous! The berry and citrus work so well together. The mojito feel with the mint and lime really brings out the berry and citrus flavors in the vodka. This cocktail is perfect for sitting on the patio, conversing with friends and enjoying a meal. Not to mention it’s patriotic too!

- In the bottom of 4 - 11.5 oz glasses, place 1 teaspoon of sugar and a few torn mint leaves. Muddle.

What I also love about this Triple Berry Mojitini is the ability to multiple it to serve a crowd. You could totally quadruple this and place it into a pitcher. Chill it overnight so the flavors meld even more together and then add the club soda just before serving. This Triple Berry Mojitini will be a crowd pleaser and you’ll love how easy it is freeing you up in the kitchen so you have more time to mingle.
So as we say goodbye to summer, berries and sweet corn and embrace all things pumpkin spice, apples and sweaters, let’s first all toast to the wonderful summer we did have with a glass of Triple Berry Mojitini, one for each hand! Happy Labor Day, everyone!
Oh and hey Smirnoff, keep this Red White & Berry vodka around, all year-long. It’s amazing and would be the only “American” thing to do! ??? So get yourselves out there and snag a bottle, or 6, before we bid farewell to all things summer!
