Chocolatey and fizzy with swirls of caramel delight ice cream, this Chocolatey Caramel Delight Fizzy Soda will you help beat the heat!
If you love milkshake, try this Coffee Cooler Float.
Here in the Midwest, it’s not uncommon for you to have the heat on one day and the air conditioning on the next. Our temperatures have officially hit the 90’s so the air is pumping full blast and we’re turning our attention to all things summer, which means lots of ice cream and frozen treats to keep cool.
Ice cream is my son’s favorite treat so we are never without a carton in our freezer. He also loves chocolate syrup and the occasional “pop” or “soda” if you live in the South. So recently when he came in from playing outside all day, he asked for a milkshake but I told him I had something better in mind.
We made Chocolatey Caramel Delight Fizzy Soda and now milkshakes have taken a back burner.
Let’s rewind to last summer when we were all at my Grandmother’s house. I found these soda fountain glasses she had in the cabinet. It was instant love. They reminded me of old advertisements and movies where you would see people bellied up to the diner counter with 1 glass and two straws so they could share the delightful treat.
I’m also on a huge milkshake, float, smoothie kick as you can see from the last few posts on the website but especially this Coffee Cooler Float, which is delicious if you love coffee and the perfect afternoon pick me up!
While I was pulling out the ingredients to make the Chocolatey Caramel Delight Fizzy Soda I thought of those glasses and how perfect they would be for this afternoon treat. Complete with straws and a long-handled spoon so you can get out every last bit of goodness at the bottom, I got to work.
I had a carton of Edy’s Slow Churned Caramel Delight light ice cream, which is one of our favorites because it’s made with fresh milk and cream, so it’s extra creamy and delicious. There are ribbons and pools of rich caramel goodness all through the carton, even on the bottom! YAS!
Edy’s Slow Churned Caramel Delight light ice cream is also 1/2 the Fat and 1/3 Fewer Calories than full fat ice cream, which is a big plus for me. It’s also made with no artificial colors or flavors. DOUBLE YAS!
Chocolatey Caramel Delight Fizzy Soda is super easy to prepare and will have you sharing a yummy treat in less than 5 minutes.
Chocolate syrup is combined with Edy’s Slow Churned Caramel Delight light ice cream, club soda, topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings and isn’t complete without a cherry on top!
Aren’t those bubbles super fun?! You can switch up the flavors all summer long with any combination you’d like. Just grab some flavored syrup, a carton of ice cream, such as Edy’s Slow Churned light ice cream, a fizzy beverage and you’re on your way to a tasty afternoon delight!

Yes, indeed! Those drinks would fix the sweet tooth and quench the thirst. And I know what you mean about the Mid-states. One day we’re sweltering then we are freezing. Whatever the temp those drinks would work well.

I love that you use club soda instead of a different sweet one. My only complaints with delightful goodies like this are when they are too sweet – but this sounds just right!
