I don’t know about you guys but I’m all about the one pan plan. These days I am all about convenience. Jarred pasta sauces, ready made sausages and beans out of a can. Between running the kids to and from school, sports and daily life, I’m tired. I’m even more so tired now that the sun is going down before 6 o’clock. Just another reason why I’m a summer girl.
I’m also all about no dishes. See one pan plan. If I only have to wash 1 pan and then wash my family’s 4 plates and call it a night. Done. That’s why this One Pan Tuscan Italian Sausages is perfect for any night of the week.
My family loves Italian inspired food. Probably mainly because they love garlic bread. My son and husband can put down a loaf to themselves but for the most part, they enjoy the pasta too. My son, who is the picky eater, likes his with extra parmesean cheese and who am I to argue with that?
What I really love about this One Pan Tuscan Italian Sausages is the fact it’s packed with so many big flavors that all come together beautifully. I was researching the flavors of Tuscany, so I could follow the Tuscan Way of Bertolli’s style of cooking and their delicious pasta sauces and I came up with a wide variety of flavors they use in Tuscany. All of which would pair beautifully with the Bertolli tomato and basil sauce.
I had a hard time deciding on what I wanted to pair with the Bertolli Tomato and Basil Pasta Sauce and Sweet Italian sausages. In the end, I decided to use the simple flavors I knew my family and I would love and that would pair well with high quality sauces. Those flavors included garlic, mushrooms, artichokes, cannellini beans and farro. I love nutty farro and it was a great texture to throw in with the other flavors.
I started with Sweet Italian chicken sausages and sauteed them in a pan. When heat through and browned all over I placed them onto a plate, heated up some olive oil and sauteed some garlic. Then went in the Bertolli Tomato and Basil Pasta Sauce mushrooms, artichokes, cannellini beans and farro. I brought it up to a boil and then lowered it to a simmer, add back in the sauces and heated it through for 20 minutes.
I served everyone 1 sausage link and a spoonful of the farro mixture and they this One Pan Tuscan Italian Sausages. The tomato and basil pasta sauce perfectly coated all the big flavors in the pan and everything worked so wonderfully together. It’s such an easy and quick meal and you too can bring the flavors of Tuscany into your kitchen with Bertolli Pasta Sauces.

One Pan Tuscan Italian Sausages is a delicious savory dish packed with the big flavors featuring Bertolli pasta sauce cannellini beans, mushrooms, artichokes and nutty farro. Bring the flavors of Tuscany right into your kitchen!
Ingredients
- 1 package Sweet Italian Style chicken Sausages
- 1 tablespoon garlic
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 3 oz sliced mushrooms
- 1 can quartered artichoke hearts
- 1 cup Bertolli Tomato & Basil Sauce
- 15.5 oz. Can cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
- 1/2 cup farro
Instructions
- Heat a medium skillet over medium heat and brown sausages on all sides. Remove from pan, place onto a plate and set aside.
- In the same pan, heat olive oil and saute the garlic.
- Add in mushrooms and cook for 2-3 minutes until soft.
- Place artichokes, cannellini beans, pasta sauce and farro.
- Nestle the sausages back into the pan and bring pan up to a boil.
- Reduce heat to a simmer, cover and cook for 25 minutes or until farro has reached desired consistency.
