A twist on an oldie but a goodie, these Ranch BLT Deviled Eggs take your standard deviled egg recipe up a notch. Flavored with ranch, juicy tomatoes, crisp lettuce and of course bacon, which makes everything better, these deviled eggs couldn’t be more tasty and perfect for your next family gathering.
I love deviled eggs and up until about 10 years ago, when I met my husband, I hadn’t had one since I was a kid. To be honest, I had forgotten all about them. I mean they weren’t something I craved nor desired when I was in college. We definitely didn’t serve them at our house parties and we certainly didn’t enjoy them at the local Pub. So they were a forgotten little tasty memory…until my husband came along and with him came my wonderful mother in law whom doesn’t forget to leave a ginormous plate of deviled eggs out for every party. God Bless that woman, she keeps our hearts and bellies FULL. Love you, Linda!
When I was a kid my mother always made them as well and they were so delicious. I personally love eggs, especially hard-boiled eggs. You throw some mayonnaise and relish in there and I’m all in. Something about the creaminess and tang just gets me. Oh, I know what that tang is, it’s the Miracle Whip…which I actually despise.
That’s another product we grew up with in the house, Miracle Whip. We didn’t have mayonnaise in the house, it was always MW and my mother put it on every sandwich in sight. It wasn’t until college and good ol’ Jimmy Johns when my love affair with Hellman’s started. Ironically, my husband has the exact same story. He grew up with Miracle Whip and also hates it. But at any given time, you can open our fridge and find the smallest container of MW in there, just for deviled eggs. It’s gives them that tangy zip like they talk about on those commercials. We just prefer that tangy zip only be in our deviled eggs though, thank you very much.
In the last few years eggs have gotten a bad rap stating they are not a healthy choice because they’re high in cholesterol. I’m here to squash that myth and say yes, they are a healthy option, as with anything, when eaten in moderation. Don’t go and consume and entire carton or eat this whole plate of deviled eggs. And no, I’m not a doctor so take this for what it’s worth. Eggs are rich in protein, vitamins and minerals all of which we need to maintain a healthy body and self. They are also highly fulfilling. To me, they are the perfect little mid-afternoon snack. {steps down from soapbox}
At any given time, we have hard-boiled eggs in our refrigerator. We eat them on salads, wraps, as a snack, to make egg salad, on avocado toast (try it, yum!) and even my 3-year-old daughter loves them. Here’s my method on “the perfect” hard boiled egg, which I feel like is such an art form, am I right?
Start by placing your eggs in a medium pot filled with cold water that covers the top of the eggs by at least 1 inch. Set the pot over high heat, uncovered, and just when they come to a boil, turn heat down to a simmer and let simmer for 15 minutes. Once 15 minutes is up, take them off the heat, drain and run cold water over them for a few minutes to cool them down. For me, they’re perfect every single time, but if you’ve got a method you swear by, do that.
To be quite honest, I am not sure how I thought about these eggs or where the idea came from. We had friends coming over to grill out so I figured a plate of deviled eggs would go well with the meal. I had all these ingredients on hand and thought they might work well together. Boy am I lucky they did, because there is nothing worse than the look of disgust come across your husband’s face when he tries your new creation for the first time. Been there, done that, sorry honey!
These Ranch BLT Deviled Eggs are your standard deviled egg recipe with ranch seasoning added and then topped with crisp iceberg lettuce, a tiny wedge of a sweet cherry tomato and bacon and I mean who doesn’t love bacon. Everything just tastes a little bit better with the crunchy, salty flavor of bacon. The flavors of a BLT were just begging to be made into a deviled egg.
Doesn’t that just look so creamy and delicious?! I may just have to make a batch for our cookout this weekend!

Yum! These look delicious. We always have hard boiled eggs on hand too. My husband takes one in his lunch every day and my two year old loves them too. He can crack and peel his own egg, he really thinks he is something!

Is the yolk mashed and mixed in with dressings and then piped in egg white? Or is topping just on a HB egg?
Megan Marlowe says
Hi Joyce, I did in fact add the egg yolks in with the mixture. I have updated the recipe. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. 🙂
