Here are the Top Ten Most Popular Recipes of 2016 from Strawberry Blondie Kitchen. From drinks, sandwiches, pasta dessert and cocktails everything was covered and devoured. As always, thank you for being here and stay hungry!
2016 was a great year for the blog and I’m looking at 2017 with even wider eyes. 7 is my lucky number so I’m hoping, wishing, plotting and planning this year with full force. I want to bring this “little” ole blog of mine to another level this year and that begins with me.
While I’d like to think I’m an awesome planner, I’m really not. I can plan my kid’s birthday parties like no other, but when it comes to scheduling for the blog, I’m terrible. It often times takes the back seat to my other 4 jobs. Take for instance this post. It’s already the third of January and I’m finally rounding up the top posts of 2016, 4 days late. In my defense, the hubs just went back to work today so I figured it was about time I did also.
So today, I scheduled 2 months of posts which contain lightened up recipes, dinners, desserts, cocktails, lattes, football recipes and soup! By putting myself out there like this, and letting you all know how far I’ve planned, I’m hoping to hold myself accountable. I really love this blog and how far I’ve come and I REALLY love food.
A lot of times when brainstorming a recipe, I like to give things a twist and reimagined them and while I think it’s fun and different, I’d like to take the blog a step back and really focus on what you guys are looking for and that’s just really damn good food. I’m not going to focus on fads, although I do really love kale and 2017 is supposed to be the year of the cauliflower, which I also love, but I really want to focus on what you guys have been loving for the last 1.5 years. That seems to be down home, stick to your gut, delicious food and drinks and I’m here to bring it to you this year.
You REALLY love my Mango Green Tea Lemonade which has been my top pin since it debuted in August 2015 and you also really love my Spiced Pear Moscow Mule. And I can’t forget about the Grilled Shrimp tacos which are a close runner-up to those 2 drinks. I must say, you have GREAT taste! I couldn’t leave 2016 without giving a small shout out to the top performers of 2015.
But I’m not here to focus on recipes of 2015 so let’s get to the Top 10 Recipes of 2016 already, shall we?

I cannot thank you enough for being with me through this tasty journey. I truly love my little space on the interweb. I hope one day my children can cook from this blog as we all know paper and pen cookbooks are so yesterday. Although I’ll always cherish the ones my grandmother handwrite with stains and dog-eared corners that show the true hard work, love and devotion that went into each and every recipe she made.
From the bottom of my full stomach, thanks for making 2016 a wonderful year! I look forward to 2017 and all it has in store. Stay hungry, stay adventurous and ambitious and best of luck in all you do in 2017! Cheers!
