Still leftovers? Serve up these this Turkey Pot Pie Slab Pizza
I host Thanksgiving every year, which I love and look forward to. What I don’t necessarily look forward to are the copious amounts of leftovers. There is so much food.
Besides pilling the turkey on top of mashed potatoes and smothering it in gravy, I just stand at the fridge and look at the mess before me.
In the last few years, I’ve gotten smart and creative with Thanksgiving leftovers. Making these Turkey Cheddar Cran Apple Sliders, Turkey Carnitas and Turkey Pot Pie Slab Pizza free up a lot of the leftovers.
They’re all delicious and I highly recommend if you’re in the predicament that we always are in and who could resist that amazing sandwich?!
As a food blogger, I start to plan Thanksgiving recipes way in advance. This is perfect because it gives me a leg up when it comes to the real feast.
I’m able to discover new products and bring different dishes to the table.
One of the most important things on our table besides the turkey is the bread. I always purchase the same rolls, but after purchasing these Pepperidge Farm Stone Baked Artisan Rolls, I’m never turning back.
They’re located in the freezer section and take 10 minute to bake in the oven. I am SO impressed at how crispy and absolutely delicious these are. They’re replacing all our regular rolls for everything. Yes, they’re that good!
So, as I was testing a recipe for turkey and cranberry sauce, I was left with 12 lbs of leftover turkey and cranberry sauce no one eats but me. I decided to build a sandwich for lunch and these Turkey Cheddar Cran Apple Sliders were born and I’m so glad they were!
They’re super simple to make and you can use whatever kind of leftovers you have or whatever is in your fridge, no matter the time of year.
For my sandwich, I used turkey, sharp cheddar, tart Granny Smith apples, cranberry sauce and Pepperidge Farm Stone Baked Artisan Rolls.
15 minutes is all that stands between you and these Turkey Cheddar Cran Apple Sliders. The combination of chewy, yet cripsy bread, tart apples, sweet cranberry sauce and moist turkey is awesome! You’ve got to try these with your Thanksgiving leftovers this year!
